Intel Corporation: System Software Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participating in global automation (using Azure Automation, SCCM, DSC, PowerShell, T-SQL, Orchestrator).
  • Creating and maintaining PowerShell modules and function used in Windows Server support organization.
  • Maintain Git based respositories & CI pipelines on Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Designing Automation/Orchestrator workflows for Windows, Linux teams and internal customers base.
  • Adding WMI extensions used by various support groups to manage services like: MS SQL, MS IIS and FileServices.
  • Creating reports and configuration baselines (policy enforcement, remediation) in SCCM.
  • Documentation and participation in CCB and technical meetings, code reviews (proposing/reviewing changes).
Projects:
  • Continuous participation in Automation / self-service workflows, global SCCM and Azure Automation/Orchestrator deployments on Windows Infrastructure (9k systems) for internal customers and other support engineers including: Service Delivery:
    • IIS website creation
    • MSSQL database creation
    • Database Backup and Restore
    • Patch/Downtime scheduling
    • New/rebuild automation flows

  • Inventory and owners auto-discovery for different services and assets.

    • using MS Azure for Intel IT: tests of new services and comparison on-premise and Azure cloud services.

Intel Corporation: Systems Programmer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of Microsoft based IT infrastructure in GER region (3k systems).
  • Participation in systems end of cycle refreshes, migrations and redesigns.
  • VMware cluster administration (vSphere with multiple ESXi clusters In Europe).
  • Managing GER Hyper-V infrastructure (SCCVM).
  • Support of Windows and Linux infrastructure in EU region. 
3rd level support focusing on break-fix, root-cause analysis
  • Creating PowerShell and Python tools for IT at Intel.
  • Leading daily SCRUM and Kanban stand-ups.
Projects:
  • Mergers and acquisitions projects in GER region: integration of existing infrastructures and redesigns and migration projects.
  • Designing and architecting new MS solutions for internal customers / Business Groups (example: containerization of existing IIS clusters and provide continuous integration.
  • Integration of new Intel sites to existing Intel environment (Domain services, File services, etc).
  • Various PoC for Intel internal customers (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Rancher, Ansible for physical and VM provisioning, configuration management).

SDL plc: IT Engineer – 3rd line Service Delivery

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering Microsoft based IT infrastructure in EMEA region.
  • Maintenance servers and providing continuity of company key services.
  • Team leader of 3 members’ IT staff in Bydgoszcz.
  • Managing tickets, priorities and objectives.
  • Installations and handling of servers and network devices.
  • Implementation of new solutions and technologies for DTP employees like: Hyper-V, Remote Apps, App-V.
  • Providing support including procedural documentation, training materials and relevant reports.
Projects:
  • Implementing new servers in Bydgoszcz office: Hyper-V cluster with file, archiving and backup VMs.
  • Migration of outdated and unsupported servers and services to virtual environment based on Hyper-V.
  • Modernisation of server room in Czech office: new hypervisor cluster with domain controllers, ftp, fileservers.
  • Assisting in server equipment modernisation in Paris office, configuring basic MS infrastructure services DC, FS, NPS.
  • Implementing OpenPGP based encryption for some customers.

08.2013 – 04.2014

SDL plc: Junior IT Engineer – 1st / 2nd line Service Delivery

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support for the users and sustain the IT Infrastructure (first and second level of IT support).
  • Prioritising and managing tickets and resolving technical problems.
  • Monitoring and maintaining clients computer systems 
and networks (Apple, Microsoft, Linux).
  • Managing and administrating the IT infrastructure (Active Directory, Exchange) in Central Europe.
Projects:
  • Assistance in modernisation of Bydgoszcz’s server infrastructure.
  • Taking part of network projects in Poland.
  • Implementing FOG OS imaging deployment system in the Czech and Polish branches.
  • Connecting Apple devices to Active Directory.
